This project at Kurokawa’s office is for a new Kingdom Academy campus located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Three binders-worth of rigid guides governing male and female usages as well as religious and environmental considerations made this project extremely challenging and interesting. A large number of drawings were required in a short time and I was accompanied by a number of other architects in the office. We were one of the final three contestants when the project was put on hold for re-examination.
