Working closely with the couple, who preferred a minimalist style, Astelier proposed a cubic design that stylistically fit the existing home while adding the program elements the couple were looking for. The new space expanded the living area to offer a true master suite and upstairs den, a large mud room including a dog wash, more storage, better traffic flow and a functional garage. And of course, the design provided panoramic views of the spectacular Absaroka Mountains as well as a birds-eye view of downtown Livingston below.
Livingston Addition
A Chicago couple purchased a home high on the hill on the north side of Livingston, MT. The site offered a great location but the existing single-story home did not take advantage of the spectacular views - available only by standing on the roof.
